AT MY HEAVIEST, I WEIGHED 485LBS
During that time, I still managed to build a 7-figure brand, travel the country, speak on stages, debut on national tv shows and media outlets, produce live conferences with hundreds of attendees and pay a team to provide care for my quadriplegic father.
I learned lots of lessons while carrying nearly 500 pounds. Most lessons were very painful. But growth is in the pain, right?
Here are 5 of the best lessons that my FAT self-taught my LESS fat self, lol.
Here are 5 of the best lessons that my FAT self-taught my LESS fat self, lol.
1. YOU ARE YOUR BIGGEST OBSTACLE
Only 2 things ever held me back. Mindset and money. I fixed my mindset and my money followed.
2. YOUR GOALS MUST BE BIGGER THAN YOUR FEARS
Your GOALS have to carry more weight that your fears of failure or judgment
3. SUCCESS IS NOT A SIZE
People have a flawed image of what success, discipline and beauty and look like. It's up to YOU to show them a different picture.
4. WEIGHT HAS MANY FORMS
Physical, emotional, financial and social weight can play equal parts in holding you back.
5. JOY IS INTENTIONAL NOT CIRCUMSTANTIAL
Every day you have to DECIDE whether or not your circumstances will affect your joy. Guard your JOY!
That's my lessons. Now I'm celebrating the rest of the weekend.
