So when I started on my fitness journey it was not to inspire people or to create a movement. MY plans were simple — I wanted to remove my shame by sharing my process. But it seems that this thing has momentum all on its on (ain’t that how the Divine works?).
This week I got an inbox message from one of my blogger boo’s Miss Stacey “SistahChick” Taylor. As it turns out, Stacey has been on her own fitness journey. She said I inspired her to go public with her story (GASP — so honored). The Sistah Chick also shared that she wanted to have some measurable success before putting it all out there. I have to admit… I TOTALLY get the fear around public scrutiny. I wrote about it recently.Read the post here.
Did I mention that in addition to being a blogger badass, Stacey is a dynamic entrepreneur, wife and mom? This deserves even more kudos because her stress levels must be through the roof!! Check out her blog at The Sistah Cafe and her social network Our Natural Kids.
WHAT STACEY WROTE:
Greetings Jai! I wanted to share my photos with you. My weight loss journey is not one that I am traveling alone. I am taking this journey with my daughter who is 11 years old. I just started sharing our results openly because I wanted to make sure she would be successful. (she has lost 20lbs and 3 sizes!) More details coming soon in a post that I am doing but I just wanted to reach out to you. I have also gone from a size 18 to a size 12 (YIPEE)!
Your message of Emotional Nudity is an awesome thing and I embrace that thought process. So here is our pics, feel free to share. And keep doing what you doing sis! #SupportJai
